PRESIDENT CLEVELAND & PRESIDENT WILSON (1947, 1948)

Essentially replacements for the ill-fated President Hoover and President Coolidge, the Cleveland and Wilson took up the trans-Pacific run. Conceived as P2 transports, they were still early in the construction phase when American President Lines took them over. George G. Sharp handled the redesign, with Jack Heaney on interiors.

It is believed they were twins in every sense.
